CIAG Security Boot Camp for Faculty

General Information:

SAIT and Cisco are offering a CIAG Security Boot Camp for Faculty from December 9^th to December 12^th in Room 151 of the Love Building. The training is free. The class is comprised of four full-day sessions emphasizing hands-on security. As you might surmise from Cisco’s sponsorship, topics include router security, firewalls, VPNs, and IDSs. A typical course schedule would be along the lines of

Day 1 : General security topics such as security policies and router security.
Day 2 : Configuring firewalls for secure ingress and egress, configuring advanced protocols and intrusion detection, and using the firewall as a VPN gateway.
Day 3 : Configuring remote access VPNs, firewall VPNs, and router VPNs.
Day 4 : Configuring intrusion detection sensors, configuring and customizing signatures, monitoring, and managing alarm data.

Your laboratory environment will be the SAIT Security Laboratory where you will have a shared workstation to work at.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Space is very limited, and slots are available only on a first-come, first-serve basis.
